Do Not Sell
Do Not Sell or Share My Info
Last updated: 2026-08-10
You may have the right, under the CCPA/CPRA in California or an equivalent statute in another US state, to opt out of having your personal information sold or shared for cross-context behavioural advertising. This page tells you how.
What ‘Sale’ and ‘Share’ Mean
- We should be clear about scope. Your personal information is not sold for money. Where advertising is served, though, identifiers may be shared with advertising partners, and because these laws define ‘sale’ and ‘sharing’ expansively, that sharing may fall within them. The opt-out is offered on that basis.
- This right is available to every reader of culturereader.com, not only to readers interested in Culturereader who have contacted us or joined the mailing list.
What Happens Next
Your choice stops advertising identifiers being shared. Ads may persist in an untargeted form. Everything else about reading culturereader.com stays the same; opting out carries no cost or reduction in service.
Submitting an Opt-Out
The quickest route needs no message from you at all: enable Global Privacy Control in your browser or as an extension. We detect and honour that signal automatically on every visit. Alternatively, set your preference in the cookie consent banner where one is shown, or email hello@culturereader.com with ‘Do Not Sell or Share’ as the subject line. No account is needed, and we do not require you to create one.
Full detail on state privacy rights, including access and deletion, is in our State Privacy Notice.
